Hi, I don’t know what Walt was thinking when he selected me for POM, but here I am. My wife and I have lived in Sun City for nearly 2 ½ years. Before moving here I spent 20 years in the Navy where I flew S-3A anti-submarine aircraft off of a number of aircraft carriers followed by 27 ½ years with the Boeing Company.  Our three children live here in Texas, a daughter in Austin, oldest son and his wife in Kingsville, and our youngest and his wife and our three grandkids in Corpus Christi.

I got started in photography when I was in the Navy where I purchased my first SLR, a Yashica TL Electro X as I recall. Followed by my favorite of this period, a Konica Autoreflex TC. 35mm film of course, this was the early 70’s. A lot of pictures of ships and planes and foreign ports.

I got away from photography when I was in college and after. Too much other stuff going on. Now that I’m retired, I’ve returned to it and enjoy working with my trusty Nikon D750. Still haven’t found a favorite genera, but like people and travel in general.
