We have many Special Interest Groups (SIG) - there are opportunities for all skill levels and interests.  Below you will find a brief description of each SIG.


Appliqué – Hand and machine appliqué, raw edge and needle-turned techniques are used in both traditional and contemporary quilting.

 


 

Beading & Jewelry - Artists work on individual projects creating jewelry and a wide variety of other beaded projects such as portraits, purses and tapestries. Techniques include stringing, peyote, wire wrapping, Viking knitting with wire and crocheting with beads. Classes are available.

 


 

Card Making – Card makers use a wide variety of techniques in the art of paper crafting and stamping to make beautiful handmade cards for all occasions. Classes are available.

 


 

Fiber Art – Fiber artists create visual and tactile art without boundaries, using a mix of materials to develop original designs. Recent projects include art dolls, original design quilts, vases & vessels and bookmaking using all forms of needlework and individual creativity.

 


 

Machine Embroidery – Using their own machines, members use digitized designs to stitch on ready-made items such as garments. They can design, create, quilt and embellish each project completely in the hoop.  Retreats are available.

 


 

Night Owl Stitchers -  This informal group meets in the evening to work on individual projects such as knitting, crocheting, counted cross stitch, embroidery, and other handwork.

 


 

Quilting – Quilters work on traditional, contemporary and modern quilts. Weekly meetings, classes by club members and national quilters, bus trips and studio retreats are available.

 


 

Scrapbooking & Paper Crafts – Using creativity, beautiful papers and embellishments, scrappers turn photos, ephemera and memories into works of art. Classes and retreats are available.

 


 

Sewing and Embellishing – Sewing and Embellishing focuses on a nice mix of embellishing and sewing projects. They offer a variety of activities from technique demos to working on individual projects. Classes and retreats are available.

 


 

Sit and Stitch – This informal group meets to work on individual handwork projects such as knitting and crocheting, counted cross stitch, embroidery, and other handwork

 


 

Spinning and Weaving – Members spin raw fibers and dye them to create unique yarns. Working on floor, table and specialty looms in our studio, they create one-of-a-kind garments and linens. Instruction is available on an individual basis.
