Dennis Wilson
Introduction
Dennis Wilson
Hello Neighbors,

In 2010 my wife Carey and I moved to Sun City Texas, after spending several years looking for the right active adult community to retire to. On our first visit, we knew this community would be our home.

Soon after we arrived, my new neighbor asked if I would be Co Rep with him. Being a bit naïve, but still full of energy and excitement for this unique lifestyle, I said yes. That was one of my better decisions. Helping to grow a neighborhood from 9 homes to 127 is an enriching experience. You learn quickly how important neighborhoods are to the foundation of this community.

A few years later, I was asked to be Vice-Chair of the NRO. I worked alongside John Copelan, an outstanding citizen, and volunteer. Together we looked at ways to make the NRO better for the neighborhoods and the community. In 2017 under the leadership of Jeff Fuller, I stayed on as past-chair and watched the NRO grow by leaps and bounds. A leadership team was created to help manage the long list of NRO programs like the New Neighbor Development Program, Sun City Recycles, and Water Matters. Adding helpful NRep/Alt Rep training tools like the NRep Tool Box and finally the NRO Bulletin, a communication tool that started back in 2013 and is still a valuable communication tool today.

I am proud to have been part of the growth of the NRO. Working alongside the hard-working leadership team, the NReps, and Alternates, and finally, the neighborhood Block Captains.

Sun City Texas is an exceptional community. I want to see Sun City Texas stay a premier, well managed, fiscally sound, and active adult community for years.

Online voting starts on August 4th. Thanks for your support
