Expansion Task Force: Virtual Town Hall Follow-up-FAQs

A Town Hall meeting was taped on Monday, June 1, updating the Sun City residents on the expansion of Sun City Texas. The event shared activities that began in 2014 and have been on-going for the past six years. Included in the Town Hall was the work of the Existing Amenities Task Force, and what has been done for existing amenities. The North Point plans were shared as well.

Since the Town Hall, several frequently asked questions have been sent to the Expansion Task Force. This Special Communicator is provided for residents to see some of the most frequently asked questions.

What will become of the Existing Sales Center on Sun City Blvd?
It will be removed, and homes built to finish out N34.

When will North Point Sales Center be completed?
The center should be complete by September 2020.

The two locations at North Point identified as Future Development for Community Association—what will be built there?
Future Boards will be tasked with meeting the needs of residents by the use of these sites in the future.

Will the existing Dog Park be closed, with the new Dog Park being built/developed at North Point?
No, Sun City will have two Dog Parks. This will provide more accessibility to this amenity for dog owners.

What is the status of new pickleball courts?
“Pulte is currently working with CA Staff, The Pickleball Club and The City of Georgetown on a designated area within Pulte expansion property for future pickleball courts. A lot of progress has been made and more information will be shared as it becomes available.”

How will residents be involved in making recommendations about future facilities which will be dependent on resident dollars?
This is a two-fold question. Developer Funded and Resident Funded. As information is provided to the Expansion Task Force (ETF) by our Developer, Pulte/Del Webb, concerning the future amenities at North Point, the ETF will share such information with the Community. The ETF and the Developer encourage all residents who want to provide input concerning future Developer funded facilities to send their comments and suggestions to the Expansion Task Force at: e[email protected]
Your input will be considered and greatly appreciated.

Input on future CA funded amenities other than the North Point Amenity Center (which again is being fully funded by the Developer), should be directed to the CA Board and the Property and Grounds Committee.

Are additional restrooms in future development plans—along Hiking Trails?
There are no plans to construct additional restrooms.

Will any additional restaurants be planned in the future?
There are no plans for any restaurants in the future.

When will the North Point Amenity Center be constructed?
Currently, the Developer plans to have the North Point Amenity Center open in mid-late 2023. The opening is based on projected future home closings and minimizing the impact to the assessments (dues) of all residents.
