 Firewise Town Hall
CELEBRATING 10 YEARS OF FIREWISE! Tuesday, Oct. 9 9:30 a.m. • SCB Q&A before and after Broadcast live on Channel 18 and available online The Sun City Texas Firewise program will hold a town hall on October 9 (National Fire Prevention Day). Sun City is among the more than 1,500 recognized Firewise Communities in the United States. The program will include presentations by the Texas A&M Forest Service, the new Emergency Management Coordinator and the Georgetown Fire Department who will provide an update on Station 6 on Williams Drive.
The following groups will be available before and after the town hall to answer questions: Firewise Group, Georgetown Fire Department, Texas A&M Forest Service, Emergency Management Committee, Sun City Texas Citizens on Patrol (COPs), Wildlife Management Committee, Property & Grounds Committee and USAA Insurance.
Join us to learn more about how these groups work together to help homeowners protect their homes and themselves from the threat of wildfires and what YOU can do to protect your home. And maybe have a donut!
