Dear Sun City Texas Residents,
Many of you have seen signs announcing upcoming street maintenance in Sun City. The City of Georgetown's contractor will perform preventive street maintenance in specific sections of Sun City beginning Sept. 17 through mid-October.
The affected neighborhoods are:
02, 03, 04, 05, 06, 09, 10, 12, 35, 36, 60, 63
Alpha Paving Industries has been contracted by the City of Georgetown to perform preventative maintenance using a spray applied, environmentally friendly, pavement sealer. Pavement markings will also be reapplied. The purpose of this project is to both protect and beautify the pavement.
Important
- The Sun City portion of this project will last approx 5 weeks.
- Work will take place Monday - Friday (except Thursdays)
- Work will not take place on the DAY OF or the DAY BEFORE your Trash Pickup day
- Please refer to the COLOR-CODED STREET CLOSURE MAP for your neighborhood and identify WHICH DAY your street will be CLOSED for resurfacing. See links to maps schedules below.
- Closures will be from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Reminder door hangers will be distributed 2-4 days prior to your street closure.
- Missed work days due to bad weather or other unforeseen delays will be rescheduled for the end of the project in order to preserve the remainder of the schedule already set.
- Door hangers will be distributed again 2-4 days prior to the reschedule date.
- On days other than your assigned closure date, you may have to take a different route home during other street closures.
