The City is currently experiencing high call volume for Utility Department Customer Care as they transition to a new billing software platform, which is saturating all of our City phone lines. We are aware that this is impacting the non-emergency line to the Police Department (512-930-3510), and resulting in callers receiving a busy signal.

If you are trying to call the Police Department’s non-emergency number for anything other than a life-or-death emergency and receive a busy signal, please continue trying to get through. We appreciate your patience, as the IT Department and Customer Care are working through this issue. The high call volume is expected to dissipate as the week progresses, and our phone lines will return to normal functioning.
