Change Your Clocks & Smoke Alarm Batteries!

Daylight Saving Time ends on Sunday, Nov. 5, allowing us an extra hour of sleep―and a great reminder to change the batteries in our smoke alarms, or replace the alarm unit entirely. Batteries should be changed at least once per year, while the smoke alarm unit should be replaced every 8-10 years. A properly installed and maintained smoke alarm is the only thing in your home that can alert you to a fire 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
