Advisory Committees Special AppealDo you need more information about Advisory Committees? You may apply online or at the Member Services Office. Applications are due Friday, September 8 by 4 p.m. Interviews will be held the week of October 8. Take time now to apply now! We are especially in need of applicants for the following committees. Will you consider stepping forward to be of service? ElectionsThis Committee assists with and facilitates the annual election process for CA Board members. They do important work through workshops, candidate publicity and ballot and election procedures. Members may have skills in organizing data and events, maintaining detailed documents or experience in conducting elections. Emergency ManagementMembers help develop and implement Sun City Texas emergency procedures. They conduct town halls and emergency exercises to educate and train residents. A background in the medical field, emergency/safety procedures, fire safety, law enforcement or communications is helpful to this Committee. FinanceCommittee members make recommendations to the CA Board regarding all Sun City Texas financial concerns such as each year’s budget, homeowner association dues, insurance, reserves and investments. Its members may have experience in banking, budgeting, insurance, financial controls, auditing and general business practices. Landscaped Maintained HomesEvaluates services, program options, pricing, and policies of the LMH program. Maintains communication between CA Staff, homeowners and contractors, and reviews resident’s suggestions and concerns. Members must live in a landscaped maintained home. Knowledge of landscape issues, familiarity with budgets and communication skills are helpful to this Committee. Property & Grounds CommitteeMembers monitor all CA property. They conduct annual inspection tours and make recommendations regarding maintenance and replacement. Members often have experience in engineering, water systems, facility management, architecture, construction or landscaping. WildlifeThis Committee evaluates wildlife management strategies and work to ensure a balance between wildlife and Sun City Texas’ habitat. They educate residents through publications and town hall meetings. A background in wildlife habitat, or agricultural, land and game management is helpful to this Committee. __________________________
