Candidate Forum:
Submit Your Questions by April 18!

Candidate Forum
Thursday. April 20
9 a.m. • Ballroom

Learn more about the candidates running for your CA Board by attending the Candidate Forum on Thursday, April 20 at 9 a.m. in the Ballroom. Residents are encouraged to submit questions they would like all candidates to respond to by sending an email to [email protected] or by submitting written questions at the Member Services Office, Attention: Elections Committee, by 4pm on Tuesday, April 18. Questions will also be collected at the Candidate Forum.

There are two candidates and two open positions, why do we still have an election? State law dictates that any homeowner, qualified or non-qualified, may run for a position on the Board of Directors, which allows for write-in candidates. So while the election may be considered uncontested, we must allow for write-in opportunities as determined by state law.

If you are unable to attend the candidate forum, you can view it on the website or on Channel 18 following the event. You can also learn more about the candidates through the Special Communicator emails, candidate videos, bulletin board flyers and webpages at www.sctexas.org.

Photographers & Writers:
Sun Rays Needs Your Help

imgHelp tell the stories and capture the moments that make our community great! Sun Rays magazine is looking for motivated volunteer writers and photographers to contribute to our monthly magazine.

PHOTOGRAPHERS: As a Sun Rays photographer, you’ll shoot community activities, collaborate with writers on feature photography and capture Sun City’s largest events. Because each photographer is unique, we encourage photo volunteers to stay true to their creative vision. Photographers receive full credit and retain all rights to their work.

WRITERS: Our writers work with Sun Rays editors to plan and produce mid- to feature-length articles based on a monthly schedule. Writers are encouraged to pitch ideas and keep an ear out for any interesting topics. Though volunteers are welcome to write in their own style, they should have a solid command of the English language. All writers receive credit and recognition for their contributions.

ALL volunteers should be able to work independently and adhere to deadlines.

If you enjoy meeting interesting people, peeking behind the scenes and seeing your work in print, contact us today!

As Sun City’s most relied-upon communications resource, Sun Rays offers community information, event details and features on travel, local history and life experiences. If interested, contact [email protected].
