Friendly Reminders: Storm Drains, Crosswalks, Dog ParkSubmitted by Jim Romine, Executive Director, [email protected] - We
have been told that some residents are discarding their full doggie
poop bags into the storm drains. Here is a note from the City on this
matter: "Please note that pet waste in our storm drain system
contributes to increased bacteria and ultimately algae growth, reducing
oxygen and depleting fish habitat and overall water quality of our
drinking sources. Aside from being irresponsible, putting anything other
than stormwater into our system is prohibited by ordinance and
enforceable by fine and municipal court action. For additional
information or to report illegal dumping activities citizens can call
512-930-3640."
- Please continue to stop for those who are
crossing the streets in our designated cross walks. Not only is it the
right thing to do, it is the law.
- When using the dog park,
please remember to keep your dog on the side designated for the size of
your dog. Smaller than 30 pounds, small dog side, over 30 pounds, large
dog side.

New
officer training will be held Friday, December 9 from 9 - 11 a.m. in
the Social Center Ballroom. All officers should be in attendance as we
review the Chartered Club & Neighborhood (CC/N) processes for
deposits, check requests, room
reservations, advertisement options, monthly reports and the policy for
Chartered Clubs. ______________________________________ Golf Cart Parking GuidanceSubmitted by Submitted by Community Standards
Whenever
possible, please park golf carts in the designated golf cart parking
spaces provided at community facilities. When using parking spaces not
designated for golf carts, two carts should be parked in the space with
the carts staggered - with one cart on the right side and one cart on
the left side of the parking space. The cart on the left side should be
parked forward in the parking space against the concrete wheel stop.
This configuration allows for maximum use of the limited parking space
at many CA facilities and will ensure that the owners of surrounding
vehicles will be able to access their vehicles driver-side door.
