Friendly Reminders
Submitted by Jim Romine, Executive Director, [email protected] 1. As we get in the thick of the political arena and begin seeing political signs in our neighbor’s yards, please be mindful and respectful of their rights to have these signs. Unfortunately we are already receiving calls on vandalism of these signs which is a criminal offense. Our community is better than that and please be respectful of your neighbor’s political views. If vandalism occurs to your political sign(s), please let me know. Click here to view our Political Sign Policy.
2. Slow Moving Vehicles - Please remember, when traveling in Sun City Texas in your golf cart or automobile, to try and stay to the right to allow vehicles that are traveling faster to get past you. ____________________________

February Watering Keep an eye on the weather this weekend! Submitted by Carlton Mathis, Common Area and Irrigation Superintendent, [email protected]
Rain chances go up Sunday into Monday. I’ll continue to do my dance. Soil moisture depletion continues to hover around 1/10 of an inch per day in full sun areas. Setting the irrigation controllers to a one-day-a-week watering schedule, or simply adjusting the water budget between 25-50%, would compensate for this. Watering any more could lead to fungus and molds in the landscape with the cooler temperatures. If we do get the blessed sky water this weekend, it would be a good opportunity to verify that rain sensors are functioning properly.
The Water Matters Team is available to help familiarize you with your irrigation system. If you need help setting up your controller, or would like a complete and thorough evaluation of your irrigation system, send an email to [email protected] , or contact your Neighborhood Representative. A Water Matters Ambassador will come to your home to assist you.
