in the Georgetown Room at the Cowan Creek Amenity Center. This meeting allows for two-way dialog between the resident directors and
residents-at-large and will mainly address matters listed on the
February Board workshop agenda (click here to view). This meeting has been well attended in the past and all are welcome. Homeowner Preview of Model HomesPulte will be holding a Homeowner Preview Open House for Sun City Texas Residents on February 17 & 18 from 9:30 am – 5:30 p.m. Residents will have the opportunity to tour the model home park before it is opened to the public. New Resident OrientationOn Thursday, February 19, new residents are invited to attend the New Resident Orientation in the Social Center Ballroom (SCB).
It begins at 8:30 a.m. with a Club Fair where members of the Chartered Clubs are on-hand to tell you about their group's activities and coming events. It's the perfect way to start getting involved in all of the goings-on around here.
At 9:15 a.m., the Community Association staff will talk about how your Association operates helping you navigate the many departments, committees and services operating in Sun City Texas. As expansion moves forward you can play a significant role in the future
of Sun City Texas by serving as a member of a CA Advisory Committee.
Each Committee is composed of resident volunteers who serve two year
terms and who are eligible to apply for a second term. These
Advisory Committees which assist and advise in the governance of Sun
City Texas hold regular monthly meetings. To learn about the activities
and responsibilities of each Committee we suggest that you attend its
monthly meeting or visit its website. The dates and times of these
meetings, which are open to all residents (except in special
circumstances) are listed each month on page 6 of the Sun Rays.
Currently there are 21 vacancies on 9 of the Committees: Communications (5); Covenants (2); Elections (2); Emergency Management (2); Golf (1); Landscaped Maintained Homes (3); Property and Grounds (3); Sports (1); and Wildlife Management (2). Applications

The deadline to apply is Friday, March 13. Submit completed

a reminder that our next Modifications Committee meeting is Thursday,
February 19, to review applications for modification. If you submit your

Services Office. Residential Standards InspectionSubmitted by Community Standards The
Community Standards Inspectors continue to work their way through the
community, evaluating homes to verify that they meet the minimum
standards of the Design Guidelines. As a reminder, the inspectors are
Sun City residents who work part-time for the CA’s Community Standards
Department. They wear CA nametags, shirts, and travel in a CA vehicle.
The
inspectors have completed the Landscape Maintained Homes and Yukon
Terrace. Next week they will work on Neighborhood 14 starting with the
300 block of Whispering Wind Drive. Thus far, the inspectors have
completed 3,145 inspections. Garage SaleSaturday, April 11, 8 a.m. - Noon $45 Booth Space, SCPL

Twice
a year the Sun City Texas hosts a public garage sale. The Garage Sale
is a great event for shopping, buying and selling household items. All
Garage Sale spaces are the size of a parking space. Select and purchase
your space online or the at Member Services Office. - All spaces are $45 and include a table
- Set-up time for booths is Friday, April 10, 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.
- No setup or vehicle traffic in booth area on Saturday morning
- Security
officers will be onsite to patrol the sale area from Friday at 3 p.m. to Saturday at 8 a.m.; however, the safety and security of your sale items
cannot be guaranteed.
- It is advisable to cover all items due to weather hazard.

To access this special resident service, LOG IN HERE and when prompted, type in your Username and Password. Your username has been set to your resident number (e.g., 12345-100). For residents that have given Sun City Community Association their birthdate, your initial password is your birthday (MMDDYY). For residents without a birthdate on file, your initial password is “temp”.
The first time you enter the site, you will be requested to review and acknowledge the website user agreement. Next you will be directed to your Resident Home page. Once you arrive at your Resident Home page, please change your password by selecting "My Preferences" under the left-hand Resident Home navigation item. In addition to our secure and private residents-only area, we also have a guest side to the site, complete with information about the community and facilities, an overview of our charter clubs, groups and neighborhoods, and directions. This section of the website informs general site visitors and prospective new residents of the high quality lifestyle experiences available at our fine community.

Saturday and Sunday, February 21 - 22, the Hunting and
Fishing Club has arranged for the pond at Cowan Creek to be open all day
for trout fishing for the entire community. No permit is needed for
this pond (however permits are needed elsewhere) and you may keep any
trout you catch, but anything else must be released. In addition, the
golf course management has agreed to move the tee boxes forward, so
everyone may fish around the entire perimeter of the pond.
